SHAPE SHIFTERS
Animation for my good friend Lisa Gingles from some of his fantastic sculptures from his last exhibition “Shape shifters”.

“Lisa Gingles (1974) is a Northern Irish artist based in Valencia since1998. Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Ulster, she has participated in many artistic residencies worldwide and has exhibited her work both in Spain and internationally in prestigious spaces such as the MUVIM, the Centre for Contemporary Culture of Carmen or the Ulster Museum in Belfast.

Her art, ultimately, reflects her own life journey: a heterogeneous path that questions the nature of identity and transformation. In this exhibition, Gingles explores how, by wearing animal masks, we access the primal forces that shape our identities and how we become those creatures, embodying their instincts,strengths, and weaknesses.
This transformation reveals the complex interplay between our true selves and the personas we project ,confronting us with the blurred line between the human and the animal, as well as the masks we wear in our daily lives.”

Video made with photographies animated from the exhibition: Erótica techno de la arquitectura valenciana.

It explores the subjective erotic relationship between Valencian modern architecture and techno music, through the importance that the two arts manifest in their own precise mathematical genealogy, one in which rhythm, pattern, repetition, sincerity and formal forcefulness define the process and the result. It also analyzes the socio-political context in which these architectures were built and the colorful response that the Valencian city offered as an answer in the disco space.

Video Poem created during the lock down due to Covid-19 pandemic, with the writnings of Maria José Llergo in collaboration with different artist.
Cábalas, a collaborative project that arises from the need to share and explore different artistic disciplines in these moments where we are more physically isolated, but feel more connected. A series of four video poems in which the Cordovan artist has put her poems and voice at the service of the imagery of different artists such as Ernesto Artillo, Califato ¾, Los Voluble, A Flamenco Catharsis, Sergi Palau, W.W.A.T., Bromo and María Sosa.
